Learning
Workshops & Movement Sessions
Dance health learning opportunities for the mover, educator, and dance family. In our efforts, we’ve learned that information doesn’t change minds – experiences do. Therefore, we believe in creating experiences to inform the mover.
We are dedicated to…
Cultivating health conscious learning for the artist behind the artistry.
Beyond singular “injury prevention” workshops, our programs are movement-based learning experiences. We help dancers build awareness for training and performance, with respect to their human selves.
- Exploring dance science, strength and conditioning, and anatomical movement principles.
- Enhancing physical awareness, capability, and self-care as part of training and developing artistry.
- Establishing a safe, supportive, and transparent learning environment with regard to health, injury, and recovery needs.
Acknowledging the human behind the dancer.
Our educational efforts emphasize physical literacy, strength & conditioning principles, and (for our younger dancers,) navigating growth and maturation.
- Utilizing movement to bring awareness to health and performance capacity, but also critical thinking and creativity.
- Challenge unfounded narratives and beliefs in the performing arts and dance training space.
- Keeping it exploratory and fun to instill principles of shifting, pivoting, and adapting.
Building a dancer-centered health ecosystem.
Whether you are a dancer, a dance family member, an educator, or studio owner, you are part of the dancer’s health ecosystem. Additional learning modules include:
- Movement, physical literacy, and gamification to combat burn-out and overtraining.
- Helping dance families and educators navigate growth, maturation, and the changing human who has chosen dance.
- Connecting our community to trust health professionals to raise the standard of care.

Start the Conversation!
What do your dancers complain the most about?
What are the most frequent injuries?
Are the dancers good about warming up?
Do your teachers know how to guide your families?
Every DANCE|PREHAB learning experience begins with a conversation, so we can hear directly from you about your specific needs. Every studio is different, as is every community.
We might have the knowledge, but you know what you need best. How can we help you in the way you need?
From our past collaborations.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Dance Prehab and the helpful information that Rob shared with my coworkers and I.
The way the information was presented and discussed helped me understand how I can incorporate what I learned into my teaching practices.”

“Rob’s background in dance is evident in his techniques and communication. He understands the needs of dancers and what areas need focus for preventative therapy.
The in studio movement session was both educational and thorough in answering all questions we had and then some. I highly recommend bringing DANCEPREHAB and Rob into your studio.”

“Today’s session was lovely! I really appreciate having a space to connect with other educators and learn how they implement these concepts into class.
I don’t often get the chance to talk about this stuff with other people in the dance world. I’ve appreciated the ideas gleaned from your IG and getting to hear you speak live was wonderful. Thank you!”
