What does a DANCE|PREHAB session look like?
Each visit is 60 minutes, 1-on-1 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy to address your healing, rehab, and performance goals.
We begin with a 15-20 minute phone consult, that way we already have the basic information to help you make best use of your time!
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes! We do offer virtual sessions for physical therapy. We would still love to meet you in-person if possible to get the most accurate and objective testing and hands on assessments done. To set you up for success, we utilize:
- Dynamometry strength testing, balance testing, accurate identification of mobility and/or flexibility limitations and needs.
- Movement and technique assessment so we can proceed with intention with your virtual follow ups.
- Discuss what tools you have available at home and tools you may want to acquire. We’re always happy to work with what you’ve got as well!
Do you accept insurance/FSA/HSA?
We are an out-of-network (OON) practice which allows us to address any concern and any body part without limitation therefore enhancing our ability to comprehensively and holistically care for our athletes.
While we do not accept insurance, we’ll provide you with a superbill which you can then submit to your insurance companies for reimbursement or have it count towards your deductible.
*FSA/HSA*: You can utilize your FSA or HSA card for our services.
Our model of operation allows us to address any concern and any body part without limitation therefore enhancing our ability to care for our athletes.
Do I need a referral to see DANCE|PREHAB?
In the state of California, you do not need a medical doctor’s referral for physical therapy.
You are allowed to see a physical therapist without a doctor’s prescription for 12 visits or 45 days, whichever comes first. The start date will be that of your initial visit.
In order to maintain compliance, please make an appointment with your primary care provider in the event your plan of care extends beyond this time period.
We will also send reminders if we have not received a doctor’s prescription. You can either bring in or send a photo via email of your PT prescription for our records.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another family or dancer in need.
As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee of $50.00 to the card on file.
We know scheduling difficulties and illness can impede on your healing process, so we will waive the first cancellation free of charge. Additional requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
