Please peruse through these FAQs to seek answers to commonly asked questions about DANCE|PREHAB. If you don’t find your answer below, contact us and we’ll do our best to get you an answer!
Who do you work with at DANCE|PREHAB?
We work with dancers, athletes, and movement-driven humans of all levels—from pre-professional to recreational.
Our focus is helping movers return to what they love with clarity, confidence, and sustainable strength.
Not a dancer? We can still help!
What makes DANCE|PREHAB different?
Comprehensive. We approach care from a sports medicine perspective – physical therapy, strength and conditioning, and education are all integrated.
Personal. Each session is one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy and designed to help you move better, understand your body, and build resilience that lasts beyond the injury.
Available. We also make ourselves available to connect outside of your visit. Whether its conversations with you, family, teachers, or directors, we’re here to assist with real-time questions and solutions.
Holistic. Through our deep engagement with studios, collegiate programs, and pre-professional training programs, our approach supports the complete journey of the dancer.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes we do!
We do offer virtual solutions for physical therapy if location is a barrier to receiving care.
If you are out of state, we are happy to offer virtual consults to help guide your journey with your local healthcare providers.
Do I need a referral to see DANCE|PREHAB?
In the state of California, you do not need a medical doctor’s referral to start physical therapy.
You are allowed to see a physical therapist without a doctor’s prescription for 12 visits or 45 days, whichever comes first. The start date will be that of your initial visit.
Please make an appointment with your primary care provider in the event your plan of care extends beyond this time period.
Do you accept insurance/FSA/HSA?
We operate as an out-of-network provider to prioritize quality and continuity of care. This means we can devote a full hour to you without overlapping appointments. We provide superbills for insurance reimbursement and accept FSA/HSA payments.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.
Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee of $50.00 to the card on file.
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another family or dancer in need.
