Our Story
An intention driven by curiosity.
The DANCE|PREHAB Story
As dancers, we witnessed our peers, students, and teachers struggle with injuries that were never fully addressed, artistry that was limited by pain, and, unfortunately, careers that ended before they had the chance to flourish. Dancers were too often told to push through rather than cared for as the athletes they are. That reality never sat right with us, and it became the driving force behind DANCE|PREHAB.
What began as a passion project in 2017 has now grown into a trusted space for dancers in Orange County and beyond. Our care is rooted in clarity, curiosity, and community. The more we worked with dancers, the more we saw the importance of a space to be curious, ask questions, and heal without judgment. We create environments where dancers can recover fully, build resilience, and explore their human potential just as much as their artistry.
Our unique perspective as both dancers and physical therapists allows us to understand the demands of training, the pressures of performance, and the aspirations of dancers who dream of professional careers. Our educational work now extends into the collegiate, convention, conservatory, and professional training spaces.
Beyond physical therapy, we continue to work to uplift the standard of care in the dance world:
- Physical therapy visits extend into multi-year DANCE|PREHAB learning and health coaching support for future careers.
- One-off workshops have now expanded into season long support systems.
- Building a culture where dancer health is prioritized, families feel supported, and teachers have clarity is non-negotiable.
As DANCE|PREHAB continues to grow, our mission remains the same: to set a higher bar for dancer health everywhere. Health is not just wishful thinking, it’s a reality we continue to build for dancers here at DANCE|PREHAB.
